One of the deepest challenges I strive to overcome is the disconnection many clients feel from themselves, their histories, and their sense of meaning—especially those impacted by forced displacement, intergenerational trauma, and systemic marginalization. Often, these individuals have been silenced, pathologized, or treated as problems to be fixed rather than people with rich inner lives and complex stories.

My solution is to create a therapeutic space rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and relational depth. I integrate transpersonal psychology, somatic practices, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care to help clients reconnect with their inner resources, cultural strengths, and embodied wisdom. This approach honors not only their individual healing journeys, but also the collective stories and resilience they carry.

As a result, therapy becomes more than symptom reduction—it becomes a space for reclaiming voice, dignity, and purpose. Clients begin to feel grounded, seen, and empowered to shape new narratives for themselves, their families, and future generations.

As a clinical counselor, my work is deeply informed by years of supporting individuals and communities impacted by displacement, intergenerational trauma, and systemic oppression. I have had the privilege of working with refugee clients, racialized communities, and youth in both Canada and the United States, where I have come to understand that healing must be culturally grounded, relational, and rooted in dignity.

My approach integrates trauma-informed care, anti-oppressive practice, and transpersonal psychology. I draw on somatic practices, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions to support clients in reconnecting with themselves and building meaningful paths forward. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing symptoms but about honoring the whole person—their body, story, spirit, and social context.

In every therapeutic relationship, I strive to co-create a space of safety and curiosity, where clients feel empowered to explore their pain, resilience, and hope. Whether I’m working with a young person navigating systemic barriers or an elder processing grief and legacy, I meet each client where they are, with compassion and cultural sensitivity.

My experience as a clinical counselor has taught me that healing is not linear, but it is possible—especially when clients feel seen, respected, and accompanied on their journey.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy writing poetry, meditation, dance, music, walking, biking, hiking, volunteering, and conducting acts of kindness. I am also obsessed with the etymology of the words in several languages, especially ancient languages including English, Latin, Greek, Persian, and Sanskrit.
